KAECS’ project areas in academic field of study include social fine arts & humanities, social sciens and sciences/engineering, which should be relevant with American and Korean studies.

American Studies

For Koreans, the study of the society and culture of the United States from the perspective of any social sciences, fine arts or humanities discipline.

For Americans, lecturing in Korea in any relevant academic disciplines on topics related to the United States, including American literature,
history, economy, society, culture, politics and government. The objective of this project is to promote the development of American Studies in Korea.

Korean Studies

For Americans, the study of the society and culture of Korea from the perspective of any social sciences. fine arts or humanities discipline.

For Koreans, research in the U.S. in these same fields. Proposals for cross-cultural research pertaining to Korea and the U.S. will be considered, but the primary objective of this project is to promote the development of Korean Studies in the U.S.

Natural Science/Life Science/Engineering

Primary objective of this project is to promote the development of natural science, life science and engineering in Korean studies.

This program’s purpose is to acquire degrees from graduate schools in U.S.
